Frequently Asked Questions
1) Are you immigration lawyers?
No. We are business advisors who have deep experience with the immigration programs designed for entrepreneurs, investors and international traders.
2) If I work with you, do I still need an immigration lawyer?
If you are seeking immigration benefits related to your business venture, we strongly recommend that you work with an immigration lawyer. We will collaborate seamlessly with your attorney in achieving your business and immigration objectives (we have a track record of doing so). If you need help finding an immigration lawyer, we work with the best in the business, and can help you select the right attorney for you.
3) Are your services covered under my legal fees? How much do you cost?
We are business advisors, and we typically engage directly with the entrepreneur or the business entity for professional services. Our services are NOT included in your legal fees, as we are not lawyers, and do not provide legal services. Our fees are customized for each engagement, and depend on the scope of services provided.
4) How much do I need to invest to qualify for an E-2 visa?
The requirements for the E-2 visa are not formulaic; the regulations do not establish a minimum dollar amount that must be invested to qualify for the visa. Instead, the investment requirements are nuanced, and are interdependent with several other aspects of the business venture. The requirements are relatively flexible, insofar as they aim to promote foreign investment in the U.S. and economic relations with the Treaty countries. The E-2 visa regulations can accommodate a wide range of business ventures, perhaps wider than is commonly believed.
